Job Purpose• To assist Head ( Programmes I) in developing and promoting a sustainable youth activism model in Singapore through the conceptualisation and implementation of various youth empowerment and engagement programmes.
• To manage and implement all operational details (such as, but not limited to, recruitment, coordinate trainings, develop structures and procedures and market the programmes to the community) of the various youth empowerment and engagement programmes and events such as (but not limited to) Young ChangeMakers, Shine, National Youth Forum, etc.
• To assist Head (Programmes I) in sectional goal planning in line with organization’s vision, mission and core values.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities that need to be performed to meet the primary objective of the job.
• Oversee all administration of assigned youth programme/events.
• Recruit and coordinate trainings for youths involved in the programme/events.
• Develop partnerships with local organisations and institutions to market the various youth programmes/events.
• Assist to handle all financial management matters in relation to the assigned youth programme/events.
• Actively publicise youth philanthropy and activism to its constituencies.
• Compile and draft papers, reports and budgets for projects and meetings.
• Plan and organise events to showcase youth philanthropy and activism.
• Propose and implement the most appropriate methods for dissemination of good case studies, including publications.
• Develop, enhance and provide content updates to the relevant websites.
• Establish a community of practice with retiring and current youths involved in the various youth programmes and galvanise continued participation
through physical and online activities.
• Keep up to date with latest international research on youth philanthropy, and youth activism, and disseminate synopses of know-how to keep
management apprised.
Other Duties
Other ad-hoc duties not covered under main responsibilities and duties.
• Assist other sections within Organization and PA in carrying out their projects.
• Provide secretariat support to the selection process of the Singapore Youth Awards at the Advisory Committee level.
• Participate in WITS and SSS.
• Contribute articles to Organization Times and other publications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Heads/senior officers.
Requirements
• Degree
• Minimum of 2 years experience in youth work and/or marketing to youth.
• People-oriented and meticulous in financial reporting.
• Demonstrated project management and/or marketing experience.
• Able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Good interpersonal relationships with all levels, from young people and nonprofits to government officials and corporates.
Salary - 2500 to Negotiable
